LUFKIN MEMORIAL LIBRARY
BENJAMIN FRANKLIN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Circulation & Other Services
CIRCULATION
BOOKS MAY BE BORROWED FOR 3 WEEKS- To borrow books you need to have a valid BFIT student ID. If you would like to borrow items for longer then 3 weeks, return to the library on the due date and have them renewed. You do not need to have the books with you to renew them, only your BFIT student ID. The only time a book will not be renewed is if another patron has requested the item.
Materials that DO NOT circulate and may not be taken from the library:
- Reserve Materials (Textbooks, Class handouts, etc.)
- Reference Books (have Re Ref or Ref above the call number)
- Magazines (Current AND Past Issues)
REFERENCE
If you need help with your research, a reference librarian is available during all hours that the library is open. You may set up an appointment with the reference librarian for more in-depth intensive help. The reference librarian is also available to teach database and online searching skills one-on-one, or to groups or classes.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN
If an item is not available at Lufkin Memorial Library, then the library will borrow it from another library via Interlibrary Loan. Receiving materials can take 1-2 weeks. To process an interlibrary loan request, speak with the librarian on duty.
